1. Who We Are

Bee Guy provides beehive installation, relocation, management, and honey harvesting services for homes and businesses across South Africa.

By using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Nature of Our Service

Our work involves live beehives and natural ecosystems. Because of this:

• Bee behaviour cannot be fully controlled
• Honey production varies by season and environment
• Hive success depends on weather, flora, and surrounding conditions
• We always act in the best interest of the bees and long-term hive health.

3. Safety & On-Site Responsibility

We take all reasonable precautions when installing and managing beehives.

However:

• Bees are living creatures and may behave unpredictably
• We cannot guarantee zero stings or allergic reactions
• Clients must inform us of any known bee allergies before installation
• Clients must keep a safe distance from active hives unless advised otherwise
• Bee Guy is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow safety guidance or from normal bee activity.

4. Property Access & Installation

By booking our services, you confirm that:

• You are the legal owner or authorised representative of the property
• We have permission to access the site for installation and maintenance
• The installation area is safe and accessible
• We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by restricted or unsafe access.

5. Hive Placement & Environmental Conditions

We assess each site carefully, but:

• Final hive placement is based on safety and bee wellbeing
• We may adjust placement if conditions change

• Environmental factors (pesticides, building work, landscaping changes) may affect hive performance
• We are not liable for hive decline caused by external environmental changes outside our control.

6. Honey Harvesting

• Honey harvesting is done only when conditions are suitable.

• Timing is based on hive health and responsible beekeeping practices

• Harvest quantity varies and is not guaranteed

• We prioritise leaving enough honey for the bees’ survival

• We will advise you when harvesting is appropriate.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Avoid disturbing or attempting to open hives
• Inform us of any changes on the property (construction, pest control, etc.)
• Follow safety instructions provided by Bee Guy
• Keep pets and children away from active hive areas
 

8. Payments & Services

• Fees for installation, maintenance, or harvesting will be agreed in advance
• Payment terms will be provided per quote or invoice
• Services may be paused if payment terms are not met
 

9. Limitations of Liability

While we take great care in our work:

Bee Guy is not liable for:

• Natural bee behaviour (including stings)
• Environmental changes affecting hive success
• Property damage caused by third-party interference
• Losses due to weather, pests, or natural hive decline
• Our responsibility is limited to reasonable care in installation and management services.

10. Cancellations & Service Changes

• Either party may request changes to service schedules with reasonable notice

• We may reschedule visits due to weather or safety concerns

• Repeated unsafe site conditions may result in service suspension
 

11. Use of Photos

We may take photos of hives for:

• Internal monitoring

• Service planning

• Record keeping

• We will not publicly share identifiable property images without permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

• We may update these Terms & Conditions as needed. The latest version will always be available on our website.
